Welcome to

Fabric of our society

change starts here

For many women in developing countries a job in the fashion industry is often their first formal employment opportunity- an important step toward financial independence and the start to the path out of poverty. In 2014, approximately 60 - 75 million people were employed in the apparel industry worldwide. 75% of these workers were women.

The fashion industry holds great power and potential to positively impact the lives of millions of women in low-income countries as well as their families and communities.

Through your in store donations,we make a matching contribution allowing Fabric of Our Society to improve the lives of the millions of women around the world who make our clothes.

We have the unique opportunity to use our collective power to create lasting, meaningful improvements in the lives of industry workers.

"If you empower women, you can change the world. I think it's important for the women of the first world to hold hands with the women of the third."
